This picture was taken the same time as my previous post. Here I kept more blue in the image, less warmness and tried to sharpened and contrast a bit more than usually.
Again, seeing this owl walking on the snow was quite amazing, as Adanac said, it is comical

Hi Lise. Looks like its got a big pair of boots on. makes its legs look short and fat. once again you have captured a fine close up of the beautiful bird. very good detail against the white of the snow. well done TFS.
Nick..

Lise,

What did you do to get this owl to walk for you like that ? This is great! Makes for very unique shots. Great work.

Regards,

Martin

I like it with the blue..this has been an ongoing discussion with many databases, not just on TN...but if it is blue then it is blue...there are real and factual scientific reasons why it is so...and just because we think something must be pure white doesn't make it so...so this image here is my favorite!

Hello Lise,
I'm very impressed of your series of this beautiful
Owl, you managed to take so many great shots of it
How did you do that? was it a show or all natural
Anyways, wonderful composition, and it is a little
comical.. Well done

Hallo Lise
What a stunning action shot. It looks so natural for this owl to walk on the snow. As if he is taking his daily stroll around the block, pondering about the day's events. Beautiful capture of this wise looking owl, its yellow piercing eye is absolutely gorgeous, and it looks as if he is following you with his eye. The details of the patterns on the feathers are superb. The photo is perfectly framed, has great exposure and very good details, it is really amazing.
Thanks for sharing.
Kind regards
Anna

Hi Lizzie,
I love this photo, too. But I think I like the first one better because I like the way he is shuffling through the snow. They are both equally great but that is my preference. Bob Zeller

Hi Lise,
beautiful shot, the look you getting is unique.

Hi Lise,
This is a kind of picture of the snowy I wish I'll have the opportunity to take. Very nice, very original, very well done.
You are so fortunate to have this beautiful bird close by. For mine I had to drive 500+ Km (one way) and he didn’t even open his eyes!
Regards, Mario

Hello Lise,
I am clad he is thinking about safety and put his crampons on the walk on the slippery surface. I like this image even better than the last, thank you Lise.
Rick

Bonjour Lise, en effet, très comique! "A walk in the park"! Excellente qualité de réalisation. L'oiseau ressort du décor par l'effet bleuté gardé sur la neige. Excellent résultat. Félicitations!

Hello Lise,
Out of your photos of the last week I picked up this one. The blue in the photo gives it something extra to the atmosphere. Sharpness and colours are excellent, as always. Fantastic composition and POV.

Lise,

Great POV, which makes this ;pic real special. What an opportunity you had to capture this beautiful specimen! The composition, DOF, Lighting, exposure and sharpness are all great.

TFS,
Sheriff

I think I like this walking Owl photo better than your previous one. I can't really explain why though. Maybe because I'm right handed and this profile satisfies my self diagnosed OCD ;)

Hi Lise.
I love this photo :) The owl looks so cute while walking through the snow.
I've compared this shot with the other one (with the walking owl). I prefer the POV of the other one, but I prefer lights and sharpness in this one. Snow is cold and so it's better to keep blue in the Image.
The owl is captured perfectly sharp. Light and composition are great.
very well done
Tatjana
