salut Roger

samedi dernier aussi j'étais dans la région de Mirabel,
je suis arrivé vers 11h-midi, j'ai également fait
des photos du bruant des neiges dont une à -18 celcius,
je vois que tu es allé après moi, moi j'ai quitté vers les 14h,
j'espère que tu as réussi à faire des photos du Harfang des Neiges,
samedi j'ai également vu à 2 reprises une cie de Perdrix Grises,
2 fois j'ai tenté une approche et 2 photo à 30 mètres
devant moi elles ont décollées, elles sont trop
beaucoup trop farouche comme oiseau

excellente image du Bruant des Neiges,
superbe POV et superbement cadré,
j'aimes cette superbe lumière du coucher du soleil,
superbe netteté et détails du plumage,
j'adore ton image, pour moi c'est l'une
de tes plus belles photos d'oiseaux, TFS

Composed in the sunset is fantastic, fine exposure and details there too! I love how saturation is naturally decreasing from top to bottom. TFS!

A beautiful and subtle image, representing the endurance of this brave bird.

A lovely capture of a snow bunting.
The detail is sharp and well focused,i really like the feather definition and how the feathers are blowing in the breeze.
Lovely light and colours,the OOF BG is lovely.
Well composed in a natural setting.

Yes I know the temps...terrible and natural....he is fluffed as to warm which they do...but your colour variation from top to bottom REALLY sets this off. It gives the true feeling of cold with yet some sunlight...Fascinating use of the sun and colours!

I'm not sure how happy he is about the cold... but at least he does seem to be surviving. I love the soft light in the background and on the snow. The colors are wonderful. The subject is nicely placed in the frame. It is a lovely photo.

what a great moment. this is a fantastic atmosphere. this image have something special ... that something that make us go to the wild and spent many hours there to be witnesses of such moments.

Jolie composition.J'aime bien le PDV qui est au niveau du sujet.Les couleurs de l'arrere plan sont exquise ,elle représent tres bien une froid journé d'hiver.

Hi Roger,
A very beautiful photo. The lighting in your photo is just amazing. The orange colors of the sky are magically repeated in the coat of the Bunting. I love its fluffy feathers on the chest and it seems that even he is slightly affected by the cold temperature.

Oh burrrrr this brings back memories.
I think this is the best Snow Bunting image I've ever seen. I think the soft lighting adds to how cold -24C is. The detail, colour and composition is just excellent.
