Hello Mario
nice to me being first visitor for this great shot of very beautiful jay. There is another jay species, Garrulus glandarius here. But I'd like to see this species in real life. Maybe in future.
Congratulations indeed this great capture, with excellent sharp focus and splendid colors. BG, composition and eyes contact superb. nicely framed. Thanks for sharing this beauty. best wishes

Wow what a fantastic shot. Details can't get any better than this. Great colors and contrast. The exposure and DOF is perfect. What can you critique about this shot? If I had to nitpick I would have to say the streaks in the background but that is something you probably couldn't do anything about. :)

This shows off all the beauty of a jays patterns and colors. Sharpness and DOF are perfect. I'm hard pressed to figure out what the background streaks are.

this is a very well coloured shot of the jay,a bird that I have mixed feelings about.I say mixed has I like how they look but I care not for their bad behavior as they are so often bullies and I don't like bullies,jays will be jays and I would never hurt or harm them just the same.The colour really is outstanding and the exposure is spot on the money and that is great considering you have used flash and didn't have it's eye come out badly as often happens to me.The photo is soft and I know that it is caused by the resize process for upload to TN that aside,this is a cracker of a shot and thank you,sir for sharing it with us. Hello Mario,

You have taken a very nice photo with this bird in an interesting pose. The way you have used the light is very good therefore you got very fine colors, saturated and vivid. The plumage of the Jay is shown in a reachness of color tones and makes a strong contrast with the background.

I have this distinct feeling that the Jay's are your favorite...Just in the way you always pay VERY specific thought to details and pose....To some picnickers..maybe a nuisance? But to others the Blue will get you every time....And besides that they like to get into the action with a camera...No Fear!

There was a slight motion blur in the last Blue Jay pic that u posted towards the tail of the bird however this one is perfect in terns of clarity with a more interestig BG. Excellent details, colors and exposure.

I will never catch up! You posted so many beauties while I was away. I always love your Blue Jays but this one, with the huge nut in his beak, is especially outstanding. The colors are exquisite - the face, eye, wings, tail feathers and plummage are all magnificent. The natural colors of the background add to the beauty of this shot.

Hi Mario,

Excellent shot! So crystal clear. The soft, neutral BG makes your photo appear to be three dimensional. The Blue Jay looks like he grabbed that peanut, then jumped up on the piece of wood, and waited for you to take his picture. We sould be so lucky -- one has to be very quick indeed. Such beautiful markings on the back of that bird! Very nice work! TFS.

You use the flash so well... my shots always end up being over-exposed, under-exposed or the flash makes everything look horrible and un-natural. How do you get it to look so good?

Quelle magnifique photo de ce Geai bleu! Le PDV est remarquable et les couleurs complémentaires (bleu et beige) s'harmonisent si bien! Beaucoup de détails dans le plumage si bien exposé. Le Geai a pris sa plus belle posture pour te présenter ses si beaux motifs dans la queue et les ailes!

Bravo pour cette belle photo hors du commun!

Ce geai bleu a l'air fier de lui avec l'arachide dans son bec. Les dérails et les couleurs de l'oiseau sont clairs et nets. Le sujet est bien cadré. Les couleurs sont rehaussées par la bonne lumière. Bonne soirée.
