"Eastern Chipmunk"

The eastern chipmunk has reddish-brown fur on its back and sides and white fur on its stomach.
It has two white stripes bordered by black on its sides and one black stripe on the center of its back. The eastern chipmunk has light stripes above and below its eyes and it has pouched cheeks that it uses to store and carry food. Eastern chipmunks mate in early spring. The female usually has one litter a year with between three and five young. In some areas, a female may have a second litter. Most of the eastern chipmunk's diet is made up of nuts, acorns, seeds, mushrooms, fruits, berries and corn. They can be found in southeastern Canada and most of the northeastern United States.

Dear Lise
What a cutie!
Perfect shot. Very clear detail. I like the stripes in the fur. It is as if this chipmunk posed just for you! And what a model. Cuteness in a photo is one of the things that attracts me to view it from close range. The blurry background gives lots of character to this photo. I am also grateful for the information that accompanied this post.

Ahhh if I had to do over, but who would have thought back in the 1970's that Canon would be the main man on the block. A fine picture of the chipmunk. Nothing technically wrong and personally very pleasing!
