During my visit to a park, I noticed in a pond this cool looking duck who was among several Mallards. I've never seen such a lovely duck before. I looked in my bird book and found his name " Ruddy Duck".
The Ruddy Ducks have large, flat bills, small wings, and feet set far back on the body. The male Ruddy Duck is cinnamon in color overall with a black head, large, white cheek-patch, and bright blue bill. The female is mottled gray overall with black on the top of her head and a dark, horizontal line that bisects her white cheek. Her bill is gray.

nice focus a little too bright on the tail and beak. i'd lighten the face a bit to bring out the eye. nice water ripples.
Hello Lise! Amazing duck! Wonderful colors. Good shot. Well done!
Très belle lumière, beaux détails, onvoit même ses pattes.
