What interesting light you captured here Lise. I would love to see a wood duck this close. They live near me but are very shy. I love all the green tones and the lovely background. It is a very nice photo: good exposure and sharpness.

What a splendid close-up of a Wood Duck in a fine pose! I love the sharp focus on the pretty eye and the details of the plumage. The beautiful light in the background makes it stand out very nicely. Lovely colours and well composed too.

This is a beautiful shot. The duck gave you a great pose and you took advantage of it with your excellent low POV. Focus and exposure are perfect producing exceptional details (I love the eye) and also outstanding natural colors!

(Seen us some rain... it has been weeks since it rained and it is 104 degrees F. as I type this).
