L'épilobe arctique atteint rarement plus de 10 cm.
Les espèces plus au sud atteingnent plus de 1 m.
The arctic fireweed is about 10 cm compare to the southern species growing over 1 m.
I was walking the arctic tundra for 5-10 km everyday.
Holding my camera all day long, I was taking everything nice around, including the magnifient flora of the arctic. The best time for me is early in the morning with a nice lighting and dew on the plants.
It is pretty much a snapshot taken on macro position.
I crop the image and increase contrast and saturation.

Very beautiful
Hello Frank
Is this ever a little beauty from Baffin Island! Is this a type of Fireweed?? A nice macro with beautiful colours, wonderful detail and nicely composed. I like the lighting, a little cool but hey it Baffin Island. Adding a few notes on this species of flower is helpful and also how you took the photo is very helpful to us TrekNature Nuts : )

Hi Frank,
welcome to Treknature,
lovely flower, such wonderful color and details. Very well composed, i like the central positioning here. POV, sharpness and details are very good , the nice OOF BG makes a lovey back drop.
