| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
The purple saxifrage is the first flower to grow in the short arctic summer. It is starting to pop-out in early may between snow banks. This nice flower is also the floral emblema of the Nunavut in northern Canada.
Taken on the macro position and been croped with contrast and saturation increasing. |

Hi Frank,
This is a great shot with a fine comp. showing clearly and with good detail the Purple Saxifrage set against a fine BG indicating the habitat and yet blurred enough to emphasise the main subject.
Well done and TFS,
Regards, Ivan
