Hi Eric.
Lovely shot, and I might be able to help with the ID. I was recently taking very close macros of a plant in the UK similar to this - Chamerion angustifolium or Rosebay Willowherb. Although I don't think this is the same species, the overall arrangement of the flower structure is very close to it. Try searching in Google for North American willowherbs or failing that plants in the Onagraceae family as a starting point.
I'd like to pinpoint it for you exactly, but I've been doing just that with hundreds of my own flower pics all day and my head's spinning! ;p
