Hello Tim,
This is one of your better images of this beautiful region of the Northwest. You may want to change your F stop to F 22 for this type of shot and focus about a third to halfway into te shot so that all the foreground and background is focused. I noticed right off that you missed the shot, you have an eye for photography, just don't bypass what makes good eyes into great shots...

Hi Tim,
what a beautiful and tranquil scenery, The lake is look so calm and peacefull, the shadow of cloud and bright sunny area make this picture more vary in color although sometimes it also concealed the true color of the valley. The path of sinuos small river make this picture even more natural, hope I could get there someday, but not to camp consider if there a plenty of Grizly bear up there :)

Oh, I like the color version. That yellow is wonderful. The B & W is nice too, but the color is spectacular. I would love to see this sight in person! Did you have enough detail in the clouds that you could have toned them down the OE with an adjustment layer?

Wow, incredible subject and color here, Tim. Was it really this color of yellow? Amazing! I agree with Evelynn's tip on the sky -- if you didn't bring a grad filter I tend to underexpose a bit and then make the adjustment with layers or a virtual grad filter later. This is a stunner and I think with a bit more detail on ths clouds you could sell it as a stock image.
