[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I saw this little creature while hiking in Banff National Park. It like to hide in rock pile. I remembered reading about it at the visitor center, but I can't remember what it's call. May be you know what it is. Let me know what it's called, and hope you enjoy the image.

Yes, it is a Pika. Thank you all for the answer.

More about pika from "NatureWorks"
The American pika has a small, round body, peppery brown fur, large round ears and no visible tail. It is between six and eight inches long and weighs about six ounces.

The American pika can be found in western North America from central British Columbia in Canada to Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Nevada, California and New Mexico.

Habitat
The American pika lives in rocky mountain areas and boulder-covered hillsides, usually at elevations of between 8,000-13,000 feet, between the timberline and down into subalpine forest. It makes its home in rock piles and slides. Although pikas live in groups, they are territorial and will guard and defend their own area from other pikas.

Diet
The American pika is a plant eater. It eats a variety of green plants like grasses, sedges, thistles and fireweed. It will eat some food on the spot and it will carry some food away and store in a pile or "haystack."

Hi Way
Welcome to TN
This little guy is called a Pika. They are sometimes hard to see while hiking, but you can always hear their high pitched shrill. Excellent detail, lighting and composition.

Excellent capture !! and the small flower/plant in the frame adds a little more depth to the photo frame.

Kirti

Hello Way!
First of all - welcome among TN members! :)
The picture presented here is very nice for watching. Not only very good light, colours (warm and delicate!), sharpness, details, and depth of field are very good. I also like the main object! I do not remember if it was presented on TN before (or if it was - very rarely). So additional points for interesting zoological lesson!

Radomir
