[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I reposted the photo with the larger size and straightened the entire photo with photoshop.

Moraine Lake is a glacial fed lake just outside of Lake Louise in Banff National Park. Because it is a galcially fed lake, you get the green/blue colour of the water. This is from 'rock flour' within the lake and the light reflecting off of it.

The mountains that can be seen in the distance of this photograph were featured on the canadian (1979 and 1969) $20 bills.

I stepped out into the freezing water on one of these driftwoods to get the shot and did get alittle wet but managed to save the camera.

Hi Synevja!

I didn't see the other one, but I would like to tell you that I like this one very much. The point of view is very interesting and well chosen, because the trunks lead into the picture and point at the center of interest. You also managed the colors very well, but I notice some problems in the lighting. Some bright tones on the trunks are a bit too bright, and the largest part of them in the clouds are burnt with the loss of all details. The old problem when taking picture in strong contrast conditions. Maybe you should measure your exposure on the sky and therefore under-exposure your picture. Later you can postprocess and lighten the darks.

Kind regards
Markus
