Snaketail

Hi Folks , today I have this dragonfly , I believe it is called a pale snaketail . this one was being very co-operative to , on the occasions it did fly off it only made little jumps well within reach , at one point it even jumped up grabbed a fly and munched it down , I was surprised how quick it did it too unfortunately it did not land in a favorable spot while it ate, landing very hidden behind a leaf :-( , sure was neat to see though.
it seemed to me as a chased this one around , that it tended towards landing on perches rather close to the ground , it moved around 6 times and each time could have easily flown higher and out of reach but did not , it was not to hard to get a picture , but the perches it selected tended to make for rather busy backgrounds.
hope that you like it , thanks for stopping in
regards
