Lake Louise - in southwestern Alberta, Canada, in the Banff National Park, (immediately southwest of the town Lake Luise) - is an icy, blue-green lake of renowned beauty.
Due to the combination of mountain and lake, the light condition changes ever 10 minutes - 24/7, and the scenenery is one of the most breathtaking in North America. This photo was taken at 7 p.m.
earthtraveler has a great photo and info of Lake Louise

By the by... thanks for your personal note. Shall reply in due time.
We love going there; we do so often. Here is another angle of the same spot. And, we were MOST FORTUNATE to nail this one down too.
Once more... greetings from Canada from Mario.
Hi Ingrid,
The reflections on the water of lake Louise are assets to the composition. The point of view takes my eyes ttoward the glacier which is giving depth to the photo. The luminosity as a good effect on the colors. Have a nice day.
Pierre
