Gargantuan clematis vines eats tree!

Down in the coulees today I ran across this vine. It was growing up the side of the tree (I included a medium shot as a WS). The flowers shown here reminded me of dandelions, but it isn't, and Janice (lovenature) has identified it as a clematis vine that has gone to seed. So that's why it looks so much like a dandelion! Thanks to Janice (lovenature) for the ID.

Ah yes...it's a Clematis, probably the yellow flowering variety. This one has gone to seed. It's an invasive variety and is almost on the invasive plant list. There is also a white flowering Clematis with smaller white blooms. I've seen it at Writing On Stone growing through the shrubs, it quite pretty. Nicely captured showing sharp detail of the seed heads.

Hi Mike,
The Ws version shows that it is a vine family even more. I like the shape and texture of this seed a lot. It makes for a very intersting look. The wonderful reflection of the sun has given them a great silverish look. I like the idea of leaving space around the subject, but i might have opted for a slightly closer composition so that more details would show up.
