Glorious sunrise, Mike.
The colors are magnificent, and I like the composition of the clouds spreading diagonally across the sky.
Definitely worth getting up early for that. : )

Hi Mike, its a fantastic sky with great cloud formation and a very intense colour. I never seem to get a sky like that if I prepare to be out for a shoot. Just the other night I was at my computer and my wife ran in and said Stephen quick get your camera look at the sky, and sure enough half the street were out with there cameras. I went back to my computer. She later asked why I never took a single picture of the sky, my answer "Iv nothing to put in it". Maybe I should have at least tried because this is nice, but just think if you where at Bow River. Well done.

Beautiful strong coloured sunrise( looks like a sunset to me) I never saw such an orange sunrise. I think it would look even beter if you had some more image on the right side to enhance the compositon.

Mike, this looks like one of those sunrises that fills half the sky and you can't hoe to capture the entire thing....but I can't help feelsing that you woudl have had an even better picture if you had used the 18mm focal length and then cropped out the 'unused' sky and had a panormaic picture...

Still that was some sunrise and you have captured it well.

This is an amazing sunrise, so many colour and textures in the clouds that spread across the whole sky. The blue peaking through add more colour yet. Nicely done and TFS Janice

....I'm so glad to be off the river this week....the mosquitos up here are the worst in years...we usually get very few up here in Cochrane....how are they your way?
