[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This shot was taken one afternoon as I was driving by the river and saw hundreds of these pelicans. They fly in for the summer from the state of Florida in the US.

I took about 150 pictures which most were not usable but came up with this one that I like, I hope you do too.

Nice in flight image.Good POV and sharp image.The detaisl in the white is excellent.I was wondering if it was a stone in the BG that was giving the impression that he have something in is beq?

Hello Jack,
Very sharp shot of this pelican in flight.
Interesting protrusion it has on its beak.
Do you know what species of pelican that is?
We have "American White Pelicans" down here in California,
but they look different, and they don't have that thing on their beak.
What is it used for?
