[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hi Folks , today I have this photo of a cedar waxwing , which I found at the rivers edge with the rest of a flock , they seemed to be having a lot of interest in the insects there. I have read that the waxwings diet mostly consists of berries , but around breading time they will take to eating more insects , and the they tend to breed later than many birds here so that the berries are more readily available for their young.

most of the blooms are now gone , and the berries are starting to show themselves , I imagine that many of the waxwings are now sitting on their eggs :-)

it seems to me there are a few more of these birds than last year , it could be that I am just finding myself more often in the places they are at too ...

Nice shot of this interesting bird. I like pose with turned head and composition. Picture is slightly too dark in my oppinion.

TFS this lovely bird which I havent seen before. A little dark around his head but I bet you were glad to get the shot. The POV is great with the tilt of his head. Nicely composed and framed.
