Piercing eye contact.
The plumage detail is terrific.
The rich green surroundings are lovely,and contrasts the pie-bald plumage well.
Excellent detail right down to the lichens on the branch.

I think you used the best words to describe the beauty of this bird....mighty handsome. But what else can you expect with eagle eyes. :)

Not only a beautiful bird, but also a beautiful photo. The DOF is superb and the details are of a high standard. I like the subtle difference in the brown colors and how perfectly white his head looks. The square crop does justice to the photo and gives a very relaxed photo to look at.

Once again an excellent image. This one is a bit closer and there's more communication compared to the former. Nevertheless I prefer the one I already critiqued.
