Hi Evelynn,
what an excellent note and photo you grace TN with today. The very idea of these majestic birds ever being harmed let alone going extinct is very repugnant to me.It took millions of years for them to take their place on the world's stage only to be brought to the brink, now what gives we humans the right to slaughter any of the wild life that exists on this planet? The list of creatures that have been destroyed by humankind is absolutely disgusting and so unnecessary since the last ice age ended. The thing is what your note says,we can if we care to, keep all life on this planet safe and sound,it just takes the will to do so.I am glad the will exists for the preservation of eagles, condors and whooping cranes and many others worldwide. This photo is very good with the classic eagle pose and the colours are wonderful for a dull day photo, which shows a very noble creature, who deserves respect and admiration.I know if nothing else that you,Evelynn respect and admire all things natural and free and may that always be.Thanks for this great series of eagles taken in BC in difficult conditions,a trip well worth the time. Hello Evelynn
A lovely image of this iconic national symbol.
Were you aware that Benjamin Franklin wanted the turkey as the USA's national bird?
This shot has many elements that I really find appealing.
The richness of the woods is well captured in the textures and colours.
Excellent detail in the eagle's plumage ,feet and eye.
The pose is lovely.
Great job.

Hallo Evelynn
I don't think I can add anything that has not yet been said. This is a wonderful image of a beautiful majestic bird, and this one deserves a round of applause. Sharpness, focus and composition is just great. The detail and patterns on the plumage is just great and this one seems to be the perfect model. Just love the "far away" look in the eyes and the clarity of the yellow bill. Thanks for sharing.
Enjoy your day.

Hi Evelynn
This is indeed a postcard shot! Very beautiful and typical for this amazing animal!
I really like your composition, first of all - you managed to incorporate part of the elements near which he feels comfortable, too, but also elements that bring him out of the frame.
The details are simply impeccable and here i really like the lines of the feather from his wings. Surely, the texture of the tree and the moss add to that and create an even more interesting picture.
On top of everything, you have the superb colors that you've obtained through a spot-on exposure...a real pro's work!
Bravo and TFS

Hi Evelynn!
Your series about the eagle is impressive and beautiful. From my point of view and subjective feeling this picture is the best one of all of them. I especially like the lighting and the vertical orientation that highlights the vertical lines of the tree and of the position of the eagle. The horizontal branch cut the picture in different parts and accentuates the eagle's position.
Kind regards
Markus
