Natrue has truely been extra generous in her bounty to us, humans.

Since I dont know its name I have "baptized" this wild orchid:

"EYE PLEASER".

Should any one know its real name ... please share, so

From "loot"

Your lovely "EYE PLEASER" is the epiphytic or sometimes lithophytic orchid Dendrobium bigibbum var. phalaenopsis. The phalaenopsis variety has these widely open flowers with the white areas in the sepals, petals, and the lip where the type species are lilac or purple with a darker lip. These flowers are naturally distributed in Southern New Guinea and Australia (Cape York Peninsula and islands in the Torres Straight).
Loot, Thank you again for the help.
You are really a "WALKING ENCYCLOPAEDIA".

Thanks.

Hi Mario

A splendid set of vividly coloured flower!
I really like the POV here, the exposure (which also helped in getting all those colors just right) and the contrast with the BG.
I also like the vertical composition here.
Great work!
Bravo, TFS and have a great weekend
Horia

Hi Mario,
What a lovely wild orchid! Nature does really beautiful things with just a few dozens of atoms. Difficult to understand why men can not respect this work.

Hi Mario, Nice flower, this flower are not some species of orchids? On my point of view, i think the picture was a little bit overexposed, on the white part of the flower! But still a good shot

Hi Aires,
Indeed very pleasant presentation of this "eye pleaser". I like the vertical view a lot. Is this wild orchid very seldom or is it a plant you easily can find in nature? I suppose they are growing at some humid places.
Best regards
Anne

Hi Aires.
Very nice composed and cropped shot with beautiful captured objects. I like the presentation of the picture, its colour palette and combination of lights and darks. The flowers are perfect detailed. But it seems to me that the lighting is "flat" a bit. Image looks as painted on paper. But it is matter of taste. Pleasant well done work. My compliments.
Alexei.

very pretty! Like the tight crop to the flower and the frame is nice tooo. TFS

Ricardo

This image has bigger aesthetic value that demonstrative of the depicted specimens Mario, for the beauty of the composition, the extreme saturation of the colors, and a very appropriate narrow and vertical framing.
Perhaps the over exposure or the imperfect sharpness are not the strong points, but the presentation is very pleasant.
Best greetings... Ricardo

Hi friend,

I like your vertical composition and the close crop that captured the brilliant splendour of this elongated inflorescence. The colours of the frame echoes and compliments the stunning colours of the flowers. Although the details are a tad on the soft side and the presence of OE areas at the base of the top petals of each flower, the beauty of the posting overrides any of these small nits that might be present. The dark BG is well removed so it adds to enhance the flowers.

Good work and TFS.
Regards
Loot
