this is a close crop of a picture i got of the wasps at work. it shows eggs in open cell, cells that have been closed off, and a small drop of clear liquid.
these wasps will not survive the winter for another season, only the queen will. |

That is a really interesting and educational picture, Bob. It is not often that we get a chance to get such a clear close-up view inside a wasps' nest. That is fantastic.
You captured this busy scene very well, with sharp details ,good light and colors, and informative composition. Well done and TFS. : )

this is beautiful.
I like those wasp-nests, such a perfect "architecture". I also had the luck to make a few photos of one, but yours is sharper than mine, at this time I had no reflex-camera.
