[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I encountered this ornery fella along the North Coast Trail on one of the beaches. Some crabs prefer to run away and hide but this one reared up and was ready to defend his beach.
I used the G9 on purpose for this shot in order to get nice and close but still have some reasonable DOF. Fill flash was used.

Hello Tim!
Crabs or crustacean as a group are really rarely presented in TN gallery. So first of all - thanks for showing something interesting and unusual. Moreover, the pose of this one is very nice, its defence position is perfectly shown :)
I like also composition - with deep view for the sea behing crab :)
