| White whales (Delphinapterus leucas) at the Vancouver Aquarium. They are also called Belugas, which means white in Russian. The belugas are rather small whales. They are about 4,5 meters long and weigh 1.500 kg. Belugas live in arctic waters but many of them migrate to warmer water in the summer. The belugas are known as the "Sea Canaries" as they sing and chatter to communicate with each other. They are very social. Belugas are tooth whales and eat fish, squid and worms. |

Hi Monica.. I find the belugas very interesting animals to watch. The submerged whale has an interesting shape in your photo. The contrast of the white against the dark water is nicely shown. Nicely done.
An inteesting subject good composition how about some details on the animals
