| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
His name is Patrick. He is a peregrine falcon one month old. After banding his legs and his sister another chick by CPF educators, I took this photo in the lobby of Mississauga Executive Centre. By the end of their fourth week the chicks have grown to the point where they almost rival the adults in weight, but remain mostly covered in down. They have gained strength, and are able to walk a considerable distance from the nest, but remain somewhat clumsy.
The 9th September was the last day of his life.He was lerning how to fly with his parents and sister. He hit a windows glass and broke a neck. Very short life - 2 months. |

interesting image, but it would be nice to know more about the photo and its circumstances. I was watching a couple of these birds 'playing' along the cliffs near where I live, they are amazing birds.
The circumstance surrounding the photo looks interesting. Please tell us more. The light is bit bright on top, but still a very nice photo.
