I'm sorry I'm not a bird watcher per say , I have no idea what kind of birds these are *blush* :o)
But I know they are cute little things. House finches? They are at my "feeder" every day along with way to many messy grakels, some Red Wing Blackbirds and the occassional Blue jay. The Bird feeder is a bird bath that my father in law a somewhat famous scultuper made and because of the situation with mosquitos we decided to make it a bird feeder instead. I dont think Dad would mind as the birds really like it.:o)
I used my tripod and waited for the birds and clicked away. The sun was setting so it was casting a nice light on all.

Hi Donna.
You have selected scene for shooting very nice. I like it so much. Exposure parameters are perfect too. Quality of this in-flight shot is very good as well as the lighting, contrast and colours. Image is soft a bit. As you have used tripod I think the lens at the long end (200 mm) is soft enough. May be I am wrong. However, nice picture. My compliments and TFS.
Alexei.

Hello Donna

You were close,I believe they are house sparrows Passer domesticus, but technically they are a finch and not a sparrow,so go figure.Very nicely captured in various poses, and captured well in flight.Very nice colour saturation and details. It looks like 4 males and 1 female.Nicely done.TFS

Hi Donna,
I think Rob is right they are house sparrow. Wonderful capture, they seem to have a great time around this bird bath turned bird feeder ;-). Very nice action captured here, nice dynamic shot.
