[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Another butterfly from the hothouse at the Montreal Botannical gardens. Trying to photograph these with my Sigma Macro Telephoto made me realize how difficult it is to get the beautiful images we often see here of butterflies.

The Botannical Gradens in Montreal have a special hothouse set aside for butterflies to live in,which you can visit around this time of year, called "Butterflies Go Free". One can walk around inside the lush hothouse with hundreds of beautifully colored butterflies flying around, even landing on one.

Hi Alan,

The red flower, the black butterfly and the fresh dew, a wonderful colors combination in a beautiful photo.

Hi Alan, we have a butterfly house in Auckland too and visit it a few times a year. Hot places to visit! We get to see butterflies that we would NEVER see otherwise.
This one looks good against the orange flower.
Bravo
Janice
