Blakiston Falls

| Just a mile from the end of the Red Rocks Parkway in Waterton National Park are these falls. They are wonderful in the spring when the snow is melting, like it was on this day. |

Hello Mike,
A beautiful landscape in transition from winter to summer!
Very pleasant composition with strong attractive colours and fine details...
I like the diagonal lines and the fine feeling of depth!
Greetings,

Hi Mike,
great POV to capture this fabulous landscape. Very nice view into the river valley and also the majestic mountains in the BG. Very nice seasonal contrasts here as winter still seems to hang on to the mountains.

Hi Mike,
I didn't know these falls were that close to the red rocks. If I only knew....
Anyway, there might be a second change in the future. It sure does look like a wonderful falls.
I am not so sure if the wide angle was a good choise for this photo. It makes me wander through the photo to much and there is nothing that really hold my attention. I think that if you used a tele lens, and only showed the falls with the river below and the mountain and sky the composition would be much stronger. The fresh spring colors are wonderful and you were really lucky with such wonderful weather.

Niek
