Hi Everybody,ah spring, what a wonderful time of year it is with everything shiny and new again.The leaves on the trees are so clean and free of defects and insect bites and the light on the best days so very bright and best of all the birds are singing and building their homes so we can see it all over again in the next year!The sun is warm on your face and there is activity all over the place,makes me glad to be alive and think it does for all of our wild friends as well.Today I give you a House Finch with his great rosy red coloured plumage.This fellow was perched high up in a cottonwood tree and was helping himself to the hanging seed pods next to him ,when not eating he was singing and me listening happily as sometimes the simple things are the best,don't ya think.Cropped and resized using Paint.Net. Hello Bob,
I think your House Finch is also glad spring has come to Alberta. Wonderful colors on the finch and the beautiful blue sky. Even the leaves look shiny and new. Good focus and nice glint of light in eye again.

I wish we had spring in Australia at the moment it is freezing cold. Youimage of this superb looking Finch is wonderful. You have a great POV with the perfect blue sky behind your subject. Even the berries and green leaves on the tree contrast so well with the blue. An excellent image, thanks for sharing.

The colours are rich and vivid in this shot.The red really is outstanding against that blue sky.I have to agree with your notes ...I wish it could be spring all the time.Excellent clarity,the focus and sharpness is super.Nicely done.TFS

Spring, is a wonderful season indeed but very short. Here in south Ontario is already hot summer. Your picture is very fresh, showing the spring atmosphere very well. Colours are super.
