Hi Donna,
That is a pretty decent sized toad if he covers a 2x4. Nice detail in the head and eye area with a pleasing falloff in the DOF. The colors of the toad and wood look great. The textures also are great. Nice shot!

A lovely shot of this American Toad,Bufo americanus.The red wood makes a nice backdrop for it.The face is very well focused.You are very lucky to be blessed with a garden toad.TFS

Splendid close-up shot of this big toad. Nice focus on its face, particularly the eyes which look gorgeous. I like its cool pose. The red coloured wood forms a superb BG. Very nicely composed. Kudos.

Hi Donna

I too have a hugh toad that lives under my sage plant (rather a large sage plant) and it too captures the unwanted... but unlike you I have never managed to get a photo if it...

I'm guessing he has eaten something else as well becuase there appears to be some red fibres in his mouth!

I think I would have used a slightly greater DOF to pull more of him into focus, but it has brough attention onto its face and away from the red wooded BG...

Hi Donna, there's somthing quite amusing about this fellow.
I think it's the remains of the woollen sweater hanging from his mouth!

Nice froggy Donna,
The eye is well focused, and that's the important part. Looks like our "Gulf Coast Toad" down here..Nice POV, colors and exposed well. Interesting comp on red and cornered this way :)
