[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
On this day my husband was going to be golfing with a friend, since It was too warm to tag along on a golf course I decided to take a bike ride along the welland canal. What a great trip ! The welland canal for those of you who don't know ( and I didn't before I met my husband either!) The canal is a series of 8 locks that take boats and ships from Lake Ontario to Lake Erie or vice versa. Its a pretty interesting place to visit as you can watch the ships lock through at several of the locks along the canal. The bike path is great as well. I started in port Colborne which is lock 8 and rode to Port Weller which is lock 1, then my husband still was playing golf so I started back again. I actually ended up seeing his ship in lock 3 , wasn't to pleased to see it as it was actually on its way to pick him up the day after!
Anyway the photos was taken along the way the water was very still and it was a pretty hot day, the grasses along the sides of the bike path in this particular spot were way over my head..it was like a jungle to me! :o) ( course I'm only 5'3" so it doesn't take much to be taller than me...ha ha)

very nice scenery here and the POV does look wonderful. I love looking through the reed grasses and hearing the wind through them. The lighting is beautiful, the colors look great.
