[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Good morning! Well okay so it might not be morning where you are now, and actually its not here as I type this. But at the time I photographed this it was morning and it was so great to see the sun coming up as I had been up all night with my husband in the welland canal. ( to read about my trip visit my website) I was looking towards the east shooting the clouds and trying different settings and I see I have a few different shapes in the silhoettes, which is niagara falls, you can see the mist rising up there to the clouds from the beautiful falls.

After reading you note I found myself following the horizon left-right..One can plainly see the mist from Niagara as you say..cool :) Good timing as the suns rays just break through those clouds.

I know exactly where you are at in this location. It was a treat for you to arise to this. What a beautiful capture on a beautiful sunrise. And to imagine that across the border and not too far away, the skies become polluted with carbon and other such residues from factory, machine and what-not in Buffalo and area around. It is as night and day...and you were on the cusp of it all.

At first sight I wondered what the mist was...I assumed it was steam from a factory...Now that I know what it is, it adds so much to the photo...Beautiful sunrise...TFS

I like how the veil of clouds is getting silver linings, and the silhouetted trees makes a great contrast to the morning sky!
