First of all I would like to thank each and every one of you for viewing and their great comments on my previous uploads. Much appreciated.

While traveling on board a so called Polar or Tundra Buggy, wich is a large vehicle at wich normally around 40 people find place, but in this case we were with 12 photographers from Canada, the US and one grazy Dutch guy :), we came across this female Polar Bear and her two cubs near the shore of Hudson Bay.

Polar bear cubs are born in the winter den at about a pound and half as helpless babies. They are nursed in the den with rich milk from their mother (30 percent fat) until April when they are about 25 pounds and ready to run about. One or two cubs are normal for polar bear mothers.
The polar bear cubs stay with their mother for two years while she teaches them to hunt. After this the mother abandons her cubs and they are left to the solitary existence of the polar bear. The next few years of a young polar bear’s life are often tough and many starve to death. Only the strongest survive.

Thanks in advance for viewing and comments.
Warm regards and a very nice weekend wished to all of you,
Harry

Hi Harry This is an excellent shot again of the Polar Beers. The compostion and pose is very nice. I like the way the leading bear has his foot up.You are a very lucky man to have been there. TFS.good notes too
Nick..

Thank you for this photo...we hear so much about the plight of the polar bear that photos like these are even more special.
Wonderful composition - the three in line. Perfect sharpness...just excellent!

Excellent exposure and detail from this distance..How far were you Harry?
The bears darker colors stand out well against the white of the snow, just the right contrast.
An interesting compositional line-up :)
Very well done.
Howard

Nice work, Harry -- a rare sight, well positioned within a complementary frame, a perfect line of the polar bears and that nice sweeping curve above them. Great note, too!

Hi Harry, one, two, three splendid white bears, great all white winter composition, very well done, have a nice week end, ciao Silvio

Hi Harry,

I love your photographs of the polar bears. This one is charming of mom and her cubs. Your white on whites are just magnificent. The tracks in the snow are wonderful.

Jane

Hi Harry,

It's another winner. I shudder to think of how these animals will suffer with global warming. Life was not that easy as it was. Perfect exposure and the arrangement and lines really give the feeling of a march across the ice field.

Hello Harry,
Your shots of Polar Bears are really outstanding, this one is no exception. Fantastic compositions and they are all sharp and the colours are perfect. I hope the increasing number of tourists don't disturb these grand animals too much!
Many thanks and best wishes, Ulla

Sweet image Harry.
The open space around the bears is fine way to convey the vastness of the snow field.
Great composition.

Hola Harry,
Una increible foto, me gusta mucho como se ve esa fila india de osos caminando sobre ese ambiente en extremo hostil y blanco. la definición es muy buena; la composición es genial, con esa línea sinuosa de agua helada rompiendo la monotonía de la nieve. 10 puntos no, 11 si. Una foto como para National Geographic

Harry, this is really very nice.

Perfect exposure, composition and sharpness.

I like pov too.

Congratulations.

Harry hello, it are splendid these polar bears and the photograph is splendid, cheer and thanks for making us divide it

A superb capture of this small family, Harry! I'm afraid life is going to get tougher and tougher for these bears, as the ice forms later and later in the year. Not only is their environment changing, their northern territory is getting invaded by grizzlies moving north, adapting to the new conditions and putting more pressure on the polar bears with their specialized life style.

great pic for the hot summer, no need for the frame though, TFS Ori

Hello Harry what a beauty lovely exposure and fine details not a distracting element in the shot I like how even the shadows are flowing horizontally lovely light the slight blue hue background helps to give bears some contrast. Really awsome place and such effort to get a super shot like this. Have a great w/end best rgds Necip.

Hallo Harry,

It would be so nice to get up north to do some of this photography.
I like your placement in frame. I guess this is rule of thirds done right.
Your photos all amaze me Harry.

Thanks for your critique on one of my recent picture, Mr Eggens.
The ambience in your picture of three white polar bears walking in a single file is very strong.
Well done and thanks for sharing it.

Hi Harry
would this picture be as good without the track above the bears? surely not!
great action (just look at the feet) with great compo and lovely colours (yes!).

Hi Harris,
Beautiful portrait composition and exposition are perfect, great treatment of whites, nice capture, TFS. Best regards/Lawhill

Hi Harry...Another treat for us. Like the desolation here but with the bears together...the curved line gives the impression of an arduous trek. V.nice. Best, Brat.

Hola Harry,

Hello Harry,
It is an excellent image. It is also a document very moving, because these animals now are very threatened by the climatic changes. I hope that us will be able to still see these superb animals very a long time. Congratulations

It takes one crazy Dutch guy ;-) to show a Canadian about his country's polar bear. And I'm glad you did. Very good POV. Great realistic colors. Thanks for sharing this. Dan

Hello Harry !
Must be fantastic to see these animals in the wild, I am so jealous ! :-) And your capture is truly perfect. Details, colors, exposure, composition, POV... everything is excellent. I also like the row that the bears are making, and its nice to see how they stand out even if they are white on white. Very well done !
Valerie.

Hi Harry,
Perfect exposure shows great colors in the pelage of the maritimus as well as the nice bluish/white balance of the snow. Makes me want to go and photograph these guys up north. Super Golden Snap Award from me to you. :)

Hoi Harry,

Hi Harry,

You have posted so many superb photos that I am having a hard time to choose on which ones to comment. I decided to add this one to my favourites for its simple yet great composition. One does not see a picture of a perfect line of three white bears very often but here as an added bonus the diagonal track in the snow brings depth and extra interest. Perfect exposure and sharpness. Outstanding.

Daniel

Superbe photo, très belle composition, avec les trois ours au point fort et la trace dans la neige au fond.
Cette photo va dans mes favorites
Christian

Superb photograph, very beautiful composition, with the three bears at the strong point and the trace in snow at the bottom.
This photograph goes in my favorite.
Christian

Hello Harry,

This is real wildlife photography which could be displayed on the cover of any nature magazine. I wonder if a human has any chance to survive an encounter with such a splendid animal. You were lucky to be able to photograph them from inside of the Tundra Buggy.

Composition:

Composition is perfect! I love the way you used the tracks in your composition. They add a great perspective to your picture. Also the bears were placed in the right spot to create a well balanced composition. It is like they continue the criss-cross shape of the tracks in the background.

Colors:

There isn't much to say about colors in this picture since white is the dominant color. But the yellowish hue in the bears' fur and the blueish one in the ice gives us a sense of color.

Contrast:

The contrast is well adjusted to enhance the otherwise pale details.

Exposure:

Exposure is perfect! You didn't let the bright scene fool your camera and captured every detail perfectly.

Focus:

In spite of the fact that cameras have problems focusing on a subject with little contrast, you focused right on the bears. The details are sharp and stand out from the white background.

A wonderful work of art! Well seen and presented! I'll add it to my favorites, with your permission. Thank you!

With Friendly Regards,
Eddie

Hi Harry,

This is a wonderful shot, it must have been an incredible trip. I love the close composition isolating just the bears in their surroundings, and the ice line winding off into the distance adds a great balance.

Lovely timing and exposure too.

Let's hope we are able to enjoy these magnificent creatures for many years to come, the ice disappearing fast as it is...

Thanks for sharing, and thanks for your comments on my shot - much appreciated.

Doug

Hi Harry,
As many have already said....this is a wonderful image....in fact from the short look I took I can say you have a lovely selection of wildlife images in your gallery. You have handled the difficult conditions here very well and managed to keep the snow white and the bears natural.I hope I will have a chance to see such scenes of nature in my lifetime....TFS.

Hi Harry. This is the first time i have seen your photos and like what i see. This composition of three bears is very good to see through your lens as likely very few see with their own eyes. Well cropped and the crack in the ice beyond makes it more intreging. TFS. Murray.
