Hard light landing

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| Young merlin, hunting near the ground, for bugs. Moments later he caught a dragonfly on the wing. They are surprisingly tame at this time of year, not wary enough of local dogs and cats. Taken from our front yard in mid afternoon. Used 1.4X extender. |

Hi Dave, very nice capture of this young merlin, nice & sharp good composition....Cheers Rick
The first thing one sees is that poised claw, Dave, and it really helps make the picture. The close-up and sharpness are great. The lighting is good. The angle of the chain adds interest, and the cropping is good, although you could probably still take a bit more off the top. Nicely done -- keep 'em coming!
Jim
Great shot. Unfortunately, I think your copyright detracts from the picture.
