Salut Marie,
C'est la première fois que je vois ce type d'oiseau. J'aime bien son bec ouvert et la couleur rouge qui contraste avec l'aile blanche et les plumes noires. Je suis curieux de savoir sur quoi cet ouseau était? Était-ce une sorte de rocher? Si oui c'est d'une couleur assez spéciale.

Bonjour Marie,
You did right to post this shot of a Black Guillemot, not only because it is rare on TN but because of the pose showing the bright red gape and the fine composition on the rocky habitat.
The softness and noise are acceptable in this context.

En effet, je ne crois pas avoir vu cet oiseau avant! Les îles regorgent d'espèces aviaires tellement variées. J'aime bien cette action capturée avec son bec rouge grand ouvert. La prise de vue et les couleurs sont très intéressantes. Je reconnais la texture de ces falaises de sable rouge... Merci!

Hi Marie,
I do appreciate this upload as I can not remember ever seeing one of these birds when I lived in the east.It seems to me that you probably were near enough to this bird and the use of the extender, probably didn't need to be used.The extender stops down the aperture of your lens and also makes auto focus much harder to obtain and the field of view becomes more narrow,these things can work against getting good results even with a tripod.I like this photo and thanks for sharing it with us. Bonjour Marie, effectivement, très bonne idée de présenter cet oiseau, c'est une première sur TN je pense, jolie pose de l'oiseau avec son magnifique bec rouge grand ouvert, il est vrai que la photo a du bruit mais je suis quand même content de l'avoir vu, ca mérite donc un joli smiley tout vert,

Hi Marie,
Never saw this bird!
Good captured moment. I like this shot because of the natural setting and the characteristic pose of the bird.
When I speak for myself, it is very difficult to registrate the blacks and whites of the feathers in the right way. Here you succeeded in doing that in an acceptable way, Perhaps the whites are a bit over-exposed.
Nevertheless a very good and unexpected pic of a rare specy.
