[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Here's a second shot of the saw wheet owl. This one was taken around lunch and this time the owl was well hidden in the trees.
After walking very slowly through the branches, I was able to take a few shots handheld of this beautiful and so tiny saw whet.
If you look carefully, you will notice a bit of blood on the feather. Oups! I didn't give her enough time to clean up for the picture!!.
The weight is between 75-91 g, height between 18-22cm.
With the light here coming through the branches, she seems a lot more reddish compare to the first one I posted. One thing for sure, they are beautiful to watch!!

Very nice details. The feathers are soft, and there's a nice visual of the face. I have to laugh because I took some photos of an owl the other day that turned out to be decoys - boy did I feel foolis! This has soft details where they need to be, good texture, and excellent exposure. Well done.

Belle chouette.J'aime le contact direct avec les yeux, j'aime moins le focus assez moyen.Pas faciles à "mettre en boite" ..!

Ce sont toujours des rencontres impressionnantes. J'en ai vu qu'une seule fois et il ou elle avait une proie entre ses serres... Ces petits oiseaux sont généralement toujours cachés et le jour, ils ont les yeux fermés, tu as été bien chanceuse de la voir ainsi. C'est une bonne capture de ce beau spécimen avec d'asez bons détails détails considérant cette vitesse d'obturation et cette ouverture. Le contact des yeux assez intense :) Merci,
