Absolutely beautiful. Colors are so true and vibrant. Focus is clear as a bell..the combination of colours is spot on. The composition is numbero uno. The frame is just right and the notes are complete...Let's see...maybe one pixel is a bit dark:-) NOT!

Hello Silke,
a brilliant and sharp presentation of this Monarch nicely contrasting against the background.
A peculariarity here is that the butterfly shows a damage of the left forewing, probably a result of disturbance during hatching. In spite of this irreversible deformation, the butterfly is obviously able to fly, according to your note.

Nice dip into your archives!
Great shot of a Monarch, the wings in a more unusual position, probably because it was not entirely successful in expanding its wings after emergence. Nevertheless it creates a fine effect that you have made full use of in this excellent composition with a high technical standard and pleasing bokeh.

Archives?? you have archives of this quality? Where are they..I must find them and bring them out more often! This is one of the best I've ever seen...and a blue flower to boot?? My my...my jealousy increases....smooth as glass DOF?.... unheard of in my realm. I only have 1 realm, and it needs fish!
