[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
hello, habitually when i dont like a photo i dont keep it,
this photo here it took me 2 days before i like it
decided to keep and to post and share
(if i would'nt like after 2 days i was to put it on trash)

by the composition this image has noting exceptional
the only think why i decided to keep it is that
it was the first time (that i remember) i saw a
red cardinal not perched on a tree, and at the place
it was at ground, those birds very fearful (très craintif)
i decided to not do an approach, at the place
i did fast to go from my RAW format
to the JPEG format and to double my 300mm zoom

and it is why when doubling the zoom
i loose on the images quality,
but i got an image and 2 days after
i decide to give it an Photoshop image editing
and to post and share it with you

i hope you will like this photo

Bonjour Absed,
amicalement,
Pat

Oh my goodness.. You certainly have a winner there Asbed. the tree, foreground and ground are all blended together as if you were a Master Chef of photography. And the bird is as the icing on the cake! A beautiful aviary species in its own environment which I shall add to that theme. It is truly wonderful and I am so happy you didn't throw this one away! Passionné est cette couleur rouge. And you share by the Passionné or your images!

Hello Asbed,
Beautiful composition with good exposure, but the focus seems a little soft. But the image is definately worth posting, thanks for sharing.

Hi Asbed,
this is a nice photo of this cardinal with great looking colour and a good point of view and like Rick says soft on the focus, but I think that is for two reasons:Resize degradation for the upload to TN and sharpening the Image too much or after you did the resize.I like this image and thank you for sharing it and not trashing it. Bob

I like it. :) I'm glad you kept it.
Great color! And a good illustration of habitat.
I love that our friend here has his crest up. Senor Rojo, my model, refuses to raise his crest for me. ha ha

Bonjour Asbed,
I know how you feel about not liking a photo and after a while you feel it is not so bad after all!
What is so attractive about his is the strong contrast between the red of the Cardinal and brown colours of the leaves on the ground and the image is pretty sharp, the central composition working well here.
Well done and TFS!
Amicalement,
Ivan

Hi Asbed,

I share your philosophy on not keeping images that I don't like or I don't think work, although I tend to delete immediately, But I'l glad you didn't delete this one immediately and decided to post it. The really nice thing about the posting is that it shows the bird as you saw it in it's natural environment. It's good sometimes to see pictures of birds that aren't tightly cropped. Pictures of birds with an indication of the environmet in whihch they exist often tell the most interesting stories.

Kind regards,

Mike

Giving your all into the shot, that is what photography is about.

Claude

Hello Asbed

A striking image of this cardinal.
The colours are very good. The focus is well done with good detail.
You have managed very good eye contact.
I think the green of the grass has added a nice accent to the shot.

Salut Asbed,

Hello Asbed,

What is so attractive about his is the strong contrast between the red of the Cardinal and brown colours of the leaves, exactly is this bird completely camouflage with the leaves.

Best regards,
John.

Salut Asbed,
Claudine
