The Viceroy is a new one to me, but it looks like one of the large ones such as swallowtail. Very nice image. I see you really have been saving those special ones! Nice colors. It's sort of nice seeing them at this time of year..at least on TN.

Viceroy is an interesting name for this different looking butterfly, Claude.

Bonjour Claude, encore une fois une très belle photo. Les couleurs, encore une fois! L'asclépiade est une plante fascinante: quand tu la brises, un liquide laiteux coule. Chaque année, des chenilles de monarque viennent sur l'asclépiade au jardin et je sacrifie la plante aux chenilles.

Merci pour cette photo, une bouffée d'été et de belle lumière franche. Très belle composition.

Nice work keeping the butterfly parallel to the sensor so it is all in sharp focus. Color is well saturated and looks natural.
