| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| When I first came back to photography, I had a bought a Canon Powershot as my first digital camera. It didn't take me long to discover that the lag time between pressing the shutter and the actual exposure was way to long for nature work. However... I was playing around one day under the wooden trestle bridge in St. Albert, when I saw this Starling. The Starling is very intent on some object of prey on a piling stump. The blending of all of the colors and shapes and shadows under the bridge makes for an interesting composition, but the intensity of the Starlings gaze is (I think) what makes the image. |

Hi John, I love it! I love the reflection of the piles, I love the moss being almost the only colour, the starling is so intense, it's as if the world has stopped. Composition is great, this is a very nice picture. Thanks a lot,
Francine

Hi John
You are quite right - even from this distance the beady stare of the starling is very obvious. Great composition.
James
Good image combined with good notes....the starling seems totally focused on something..the reflections are good too...TFS.
