[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Today I have a photo taken back in the spring of a House Finch Couple. These two birds were busy gathering up soft plant material so as to have warm nesting filler. The male of this species is an attractive bird with his rosy red plumage and the female has the colours that are typical of most female birds. She has a beak full of what to me looks like cottonwood tree seed fluff which is an ideal nest filler for good insulation.I uploaded this one today because I haven't got around to sorting out most of my photos that have been taken since this one, just a little overloaded lately.I can hardly wait for spring to come back so I can see these birds again.Cropped and resized plus slightly sharpened using Paint.Net. Hi Bob,

Just as warm spring days are becoming a faded memory you remind us of them. This is a nice capture of the pair. It is a sharp, well exposed photo.

Hello Bob,
Excellent colours, for instance the blue sky.
I prefer the bird to the right with the catch light in eye and so forth...
Well done

Hi Bob,
Outstanding capture!
I like a lot of things here: the amazing good light, the proper focus on the couple, and the vivid colours got on the branches and birds itself.
Exposure choices were the right ones, you got and incredible sharp image with a nicely blurred background.
My compliments and thanks for share it.
Best regards,
JM

Love the composition - - - great 'horizon' created by the tree. Wonderful details - great natural color. Lovely!

Hello Bob, what a nice gift you offer us today. Bright sunshine with a beautiful couple ready for the grand commitment! It is such an enjoyable photo to look at, with the female having her bill full of fluff, it gives her a funny mustache look. Great DOF, beautiful shining and warm light for our bones to enjoy.Have a great day!
