This is a Northen Harrier cruising a fence line looking for food. I had just come back from several hours watching the only nesting pair of Great Egrets in Alberta and was walking back to my car when I saw this fellow cruising the fence line. I scrambled to get my camera out and track his flight and was just able to get a few shots off when he went by me.
With his wings long ond low and the gleam in his eye, he reminds of of a menacing B-52 Bomber moving into a strike zone. |

Hi John. Lovely work which reminds one how intimidating it must be to be a mouse or a little bird. One can sense an imminent disaster. Well caught and I am surprised that it didn't change course seeing you were near. Regards. Klaudio.

Hello John,
Great inflight capture with good detail and color. I too have watched as they cruise low looking for food. Great work and Merry Christmas John.
