Classic Silke posting we have here, what a beauty! You've taken a small sample of nature and given it a festive twist that really works. Excellent detail and exposure, your composition is very good too, i like the blurred suggestion of tree trunk in the BG.

Hi Silke,
How lucky can you be. Right before Christmass Nature presents you with a real white one. I really have to think hard to figure out how long it has been since I had a white Christmass.

The photo is a real beauty. The DOF and sharpness were the first two things that I noticed. They just make the photo perfect. The colors also seems to be perfect. The close crop is something I really like.

The snow on this spruce acts stronger than words in conveying your good wishes! It's reaching out to us!

Your snow is attractive! We have just had strong winds with swirling snow and nothing treally to photograph! Still, in retrospect, I think you can keep the snow, I'm looking forward to cold, crisp, sunny days!
