"NATURAL EROSION".

This image was registered on 4th. March 2006 at Elbow Falls in Alberta, Canada.

You are seeing a "NATURAL" process of "EROSION" along the banks of the Elbow River just 200 feet, more or less, west of the Elbow Falls itself. I visit this area very often, both, in the Summer and Winter. When I first saw it, about 20 years or so ago, this was not as large. It has grown progressively year after year. Hope the park authorities don't interfere with this BEAUTIFUL natural process of "EROSION".

When you visit the W/S you will see the WHOLE PICTURE. I can hear it cry loud & clear: " LEAVE ME ALONE". It took centuries for this BEAUTY to appear.

But, we, humanity, assume that we ARE the intelligent beings .... why ??? Because we have been given the capacity to 'think'; and, we have discovered ways of doing things faster, FASTER & FASTER. You can view here, within the park, man's invention.... this KOMATSU WILCO earth scooper.

Soon after its delivery, within 22 minutes, it had "SCOOPED" up the soil creating the UGLY MOUND you witness behind the machine.

And, such is MAN ..... the intelligent species. Now compare this 'ugliness' to "HIS CREATION" , .... "THE SOUND OF MUSIC".

Hi, dear Mario.
Great shot of so beautiful place and state of nature. I like all in it. Your Impressive POV, superb exposure, crisp sharpness of the image, clearness of the colours and transparency of the image, created by yu 3D-effect. Bravo.
Alexei.
P.S. I use ACDSee for paste text into image (in edit mode). It is more simple way. I think PS has similar tool.

Hello Mario,
Yes this is typical in so many places now, landslides!
Maybe even worse in countries with illegal logging in rainforests, and where the next rainy season will bring the landslides, often with a large number of casualities...
This is a fine point of view and a good ducumentary!
Greetings,
Pablo -

PS
Yes, you can write directly in the image in most photo editors. Look for tool button with a "T" for text! Then you choose typeface, size and colour before you start writing...

Well composed with wonderful shapes and shades. Good stuff - great notes.

Namasthe sir,
its very appealing.the contrast between ice , soil and water is brought up very nicely giving a beautiful appearance.

Namastay Mario,
A beautiful natural work of nature. I liked this one and also the full shot of this in the WS. I also liked the "The Sound of Music" very beautiful slideshow with lovely nature beauty. Good notes too. I have never downloaded the GIMP but I found it on a magazine CD and installed it. Anyway if I get enough time I should try to download it from net and explain to you.

Wishing you and Mrs. Cruz and your in-laws a very Happy New Year 2008.

Sincerely
Haraprasan
