Not the prettiest day for sure, but mood is still nice I think. The composition is good and the eagle gives some life to the image. Snowed trees look fine even in a weather like this. Nice capture, TFS!

Hello Doug

I had to look closely to see some colour ,the lighting and contrast is well done.
I really like the composition with the colony of trees.You have created a lovely mood in this shot.I think the eagle is very secondary to the way the tree grouping.
The foreground adds a nice subtle vertical element.

Hello Doug,
I like this scene for its simplicity, and for the five tonal values that I find in the scene. there are four basic layers in this scene, the foreground is as white as one could want, the second is the weeds, grasses that simulate he branches in the trees, the open area between the trees and grasses, and finally the great stand of trees that contain both the darkest darks, and the mid tones of the scene. I feel that this is an excellent B/W in color.
A respectable image seen in the winter's whitened cloak...

Hi Doug, this is a fantastic rural snow scene, it would look good as a calendar shot. I like the high contrast and the trees have good texture and detail. Excellent pov and very well composed.
