Beautiful Grosbeak posing so nicely in the snow. The white snow makes a perfect background to show him off. Beautiful colors and details. Always the dirty beak - if not berries then snow. I would love to see one of these "in real."

Absolutely nothing better than a red bird against a pure white snow background. It is a major eye catcher. Sticks out in a million real easy. Very nicely done...and not over saturated either! Nice contrasts and details as well...

this sure is a beautiful looking bird with that vivid reddish colour he has.The details captured are fine and the POV is nice.The colour has a florescent look to it that makes the bird glow maybe just a little too much like it were over saturated but I am not one to criticize too much as I'm hopeless with the use of flash and I for one don't like to use it.A lovely photo and one I thank you for sharing.All the best to you Claudine in this now new year. Magnifique capture de ce durbec, les couleurs sont bien saturées et à la fois très naturelles. Un parfait focus sur tout l'oiseau, de beaux détails dans le plumage. Pas toujours facile de travailler avec la neige et l'utilisation du flash t'a permise de capturer une excellente lumière dans l'oeil. Bravo.

Allo Claudine, je n'avais pas vu ton petit chef-d'oeuvre, on dirait une peinture d'Audubon (que j'adore). Il y a quelque chose de très beau et très spécial dans le traitement des couleurs, tu as réussi non seulement à préserver le naturel mais aussi pousser un peu plus la "beauté". Le contraste avec la neige, bien entendu, est excellent. C'est très beau et j'aimerais bien avoir de ces oiseaux à photographier. Ils ont l'air d'être de petits cochons et à avoir le bec toujours sale. Merci!
