The black knob at the base of the male Mute Swan's bill swells during the breeding season and becomes noticeably larger than the female's. The rest of the year the difference between the sexes is not obvious.

Graceful view of this swan you have captured on flight. Well spread at full stretch and well taken care of details and clarity. The light on the wings and the right amount of shadow making the feather clearly visible. I like it.
