Yes I see that Attic air is from all the way over in Alberta, then swoops down just east of Spokane...we are getting the effects of it but not more until tonight..then it swoops over all the way to Quebec eh? I reckon this is Siberian air...understand it will be pushed out by a low from the Gulf of Alaska which is modified..I wonder if this surely 100 pointer here...it is good you know...was visiting along with the harsh cold....My goodness it is a such a wonderful shot..You sure have some beautiful nature around you up there...I like in in 3 seasons but winters you can keep..I'll look at your pictures.

Ah, Claudine, merveilleuse photo de ce magnifique oiseau de proie. La lumière matinale est très belle sur ses plumes de dos, on voit bien les couleurs et la forme, on croirait de l'ardoise sur un toit. Et son oeil rouge! C'est incroyable comme les oiseaux sont absents lorsqu'il y en a un qui bondit sur un de leurs amis. Merci Claudine, belle "prise" ;-) bye bye!

This is just superb..The downside of feeding small birds is that you unknowingly feed Raptors..But the upside of this is it is just a circle of nature...This picture is fantastic and I have been ttrying to capture this moment for a while..Superb camera work and a magnificent Picture.

It's nature's way...and i'm actually happy for it. I mean it wouldn't be fair: people feeding the little birds with grains and nobody feeding the big birds of prey with nothing...at least this way things get more balanced :)

On another subject, i think it's really fascinating to witness such a thing...i wish i could see something like that in the wild :)

You capture is really great and even if the bird (which to me looks more like a falcon not a hawk...but i'm definitely not an expert) didn't let you too close, you managed a superb portrait!
The colors and details are outstanding and the feathers on the ground really add drama to your composition.

I know your hawk well. I used to raise Roller Pigeons and have had many encounters with your photo subject. They would actually come right down beside me while I was feeding my birds, swoop in and pick one up, take it down in the woods behind the house and have a feast.
Your pic is really sharp and detailed. I love the colors you've captured. Great work!!

This might be a killer, but it is a stunning and good looking bird. The detail of this photo is very clear and sharp. The back wings appear to be very strong. This bird is well built and looking at the red eye and sharp beak it gives the impression of fierceness. Your focus here was spot on. A lovely close-up with stunning colours and sharp details. I like the yellow patch just below the eyes. I've got a thing about a bird’s eye and this one is no exception. The red and black eye with the glisten surely is magnetic. A lovely pose from a spectacular bird, captured by a very talented photographer. Well done, it was a real pleasure to look at. Thanks for sharing.
