"TIMBER WOLF II".

Many moons ago I had written about the "TIMBER WOLF". Please re-visit it and go into the "workshop" area, both images, to see for yourself that this MAGNIFICIENT so called 'beast' is NOT A KILLER as usually taught by the uneducated public at large.

On 22nd January 2008 I returned to the Calgary Zoo to register a moose & its calf; however, it was COLD and they were both 'inactive'. So, I returned the next day & clicked on a 'grinning' baby moose that I shall post another time. Strangely, at that moment, the wolves were howling in the nearby pen. I ran to them. They saw me and stopped howling.

[{This day I did also manage to register a female Wood Buffalo 'urinating' and an Indian Elephant 'defacating', and, a tiny baby elephant sucking on its mother's teat. This is the same baby I had 'caught' urinating a few months earlier.} Shall share them .... eventually. Over all it was a good day.]

I did register the 'black' one that seemed to be posing just for me.

I cropped off the tree to its left. But because its shadow showed I re-cropped my friend.

But then I noticed I had chopped off its ears.

Now I replaced the ears but had far too much body attached to the portrait.

So, I came up with the one you are looking at: "TIMBER WOLF II".

Hi, dear Mario.
A bit soft but so impressive portrait work. I like sweet eyes of the wolf. Great eye-contact and excellent cropping. Lights and colous are very good too as well as the interesting (as usual) note. My best wishes and compliments.

Hello mario !
I love wolves and this is a great portrait ! I love the expression on his face, in his eyes. Excellent eye contact. His pose is wonderful too. Nice composition, very tight, good POV, natural colors. Just a pity that the picture is not so sharp, but it remains very beautiful.
Greetings fromm (too) warm France...
Valerie.
