Thanks for all your great comments on my inflight pictures and my apologies for not really having the time to look at yours.
This is so impressive with the head and body super sharp showing the focus of the Duck looking at where he is going to land.
The wings are just just spot on showing how he uses them to guide him in and adding a real energy to the picture...I know every one looks for totally frozen frame but I have to say this type of shot is my absolute favourite.
And in answer to your question about the black bg on one of pics..When you use a flash with a fast shutter the light only captures the subject..(a bit hit and miss) and doesnt extent to the bg..This does depend on the distance from the subject to the bg though..My bg was 2 metres away.
